Alligators & Armadillos

I found these images some time ago and was waiting for the right post, when a colleague of mine was asked over lunch what it was like growing up in northwest Louisiana and she replied, "It was all alligators and armadillos."

This is the right post.

  6. Man...what a memory. I went to the Gator Farm in St Augustine and my cousin and I got those little stuffed alligators.

  7. I grew up in southeast Texas. Alligators and armadillos, indeed. Though I saw 'dillos dead on the side of the road more often than I saw them as part of someone's living room light fixtures...very Texan-kitsch.

  8. Anon: But you did see them as part of someone's living room decor? That's awesome.
