Fixin' for Fall

With July 4th comes the summer sales and the retail worlds' shift from patch madras and pastels to critter corduroy and cashmere. While I haven't gone as far as getting all Shaggy Dog on y'all, below are a few things I've picked up or plan to across the coming months:

  • Gingham Poplin: Best value in quality and fit. Monogram in navy.
  • Cotton Shawl Cardigan: In Navy with pockets. Note: $24.99.
  • Bahama II: Vented back keeps you cool in the dog days of August.
  • Persol Polarized: A classic alternative to my Ray Ban Caravans and 4115s.
  • Stand Ups: Cause the current pair a getting a bit too much wear.
  • Oyster Buckle: Done like only Sid Mashburn can do.

  1. That buckle is absurd... I LOVE IT.

  2. I'm with BJP - the buckle is terrific. Perhaps you can find your own oyster to gild when you're out fishing in that blue shirt...

  3. BJP: Those Stand Ups are 'softball coach short' 5" in your honor.

AEV: I'll grab you one too.

  4. Stand-ups, like a fine wine, only get better with age.

  5. D- Just laughed out loud re softball coach. Visor "Jodi" should weigh in here also. You know I only wear the 5's... They are NOT Bermuda's for God sake.

  6. Props from the Range on the buckle, which, though you didn't win it in a rodeo-riding competition, will do nicely as a understated "centerpiece". Already longing for those months ending in "R" !
