Love everything, I've had my Justin's for going on five years( also in dire need of re-soling), go into a traditional boot store and they will help you get the correct fit. Also, I recommend looking into a pair of square-toes as well. I have several pair, and love the way they look with with jeans and khakis. If you like the square-toes I highly recommend checking out Anderson Beans, great fit and tons of color-ways as well.

Wore my Barbour Jacket for the first tailgate this past weekend. Not only was I warm, but also had a great fall look. Received tons of compliments - definitely November hit!

AEV: Think about the old school LL Bean fleece jackets that all happen to zip (maybe snap actually) into the more technical LL shells.... the fleece is fantastic on it's own, yet functional as a liner also. Listen, I don't wear it everyday, nor am I proposing that you should wear the Barbour pile liner (furry, and unfinished) as a vest. ...just saying that one can ocassionally in the fall, pull off THIS particular barbour vest on it's own. Also, for the record, the finishing detials that I was mentioning in my earlier post are the stitched pockets (pockets on the outside of a liner you ask?...why pockets on the outside of a liner?), a pocket logo, and occasionally a club logo or detail on the left breast (think my quilted coat owl).

DAM/BJP, I'm not suggesting that the vest isn't constructed to be worn on it's own, just that it, in my opinion, ends up looking odd...it's liner functionality demands that it be styled in a way few other outerwear vests are - e.g. deep v-neck, 3/4 zipper, no collar, etc....to me it ends up looking like....well.....you're wearing a liner, not a vest.

Welcome Back DAM! I will gently disagree with my firend AEV here... the Barbour quilted vest is great on it's own. The outer finishings suggest it is more than just a liner. As for the buckle...You wear the oyster well, though not sure this yankee could pull it off. Solid start to finish in this post.

I'm very pleased to see the Justin ropers in lieu of the obiquitous Red Wings (not that there is anything wrong with RW's...) - I recently picked up a second pair and they are great looking and extraordinarily comfortable. I will say that my most recent pair has taken a bit more breaking in but they work with jeans, work with khakis, work with cords, pretty much everything other than a suit. And the 514 is my go to Levis cut as well. Pretty much a great kit across the board!

DAM - love the gear and am glad your posting again....though I prefer darker denim and always feel the Barbour liner looks a little odd outside of the coat it's intended for.....just me?
